Here’s a little list of ressources than can become quite handy when you’re into development and UI/UX-design for mobile devices. I know that I left out some platforms like LiMo, Maemo or MeeGo — but for now let’s be happy with the following list

Android

• Online-Demo for the T-Mobile G1 (aka HTC Dream and Google Dev Phone 1) running a very early version of Android. It’s not fully functional but gives you a rough idea of Android’s Look & Feel.
• The official Android SDK provides everything that is needed to start developing applications. Key-Feature of the whole package is the (almost) fully-functional Android Emulator.
• In case you want to get Android Market running on your emulator you should read Kumar Bibek’s quick How-To.

Symbian / S60

• Nokia’s official SDK for S60 contains an emulator along other tools.
• Carbride.ui is a special tool for theme-design.
• If you want to see some actual S60 devices in action go visit the official demos for the  Nokia N97 and Nokia N97 mini.

Blackberry OS

• Blackberry offers a whole list of specific Device Simulators for each of their devices …
• They even provide a nice (but old) User Guide how to get the Simulator to run and how to use it.

iPhone OS + Palm Pre

• MobiOne claims to be the best iPhone and Palm Pre emulator on the market. In fact it’s not only an emulator but also provides tools for app developme nt.
• The iPhone Browser Tester will give you a rough impression how your website will look on an iPhone. You should use it with Safari for more accurate results.

Windows Phone / Windows Mobile

• Windows Phone Demo. No real interaction here but gives you an idea of how Win Phone looks and feels.
• Microsoft provides a Standalone Device Emulator for Windows Mobile 6. Just download and install it and link it with one of the Emulator Images.
• If you want to emulate Windows Mobile 6.5 you’ll have to download the whole Developer Tool Kit.
